Tournament Format:
There is a 3 game guarantee. A round robin within each division of 4 teams per age group will be conducted. The top teams from each group will advance to a single elimination play-off round.

Playoff brackets will be decided as follows:
  • Total Points (Win = 2pts;  Tie = 1pt;  Loss = 0 pts.)
  • Head to head competition
  • Goals for and against differential
  • Total goals scored

Tournament Rules:

  • 3 on 3 RinkAll teams will consist of 4 skaters and 1 goalie except as noted below.
  • One additional player may be rostered for insurance purposes.  However, you may only dress 4 skaters and 1 goalie per game.
  • One player will remain on the bench allowing 3 skaters to play at one time and change on the fly.
  • 2 eleven minute running time periods.
  • All penalties result in a penalty shot.
  • Game Misconduct penalties will result in participants removal from the tournament.
  • Semi-final and final games that end in a tie will be decided by a team shoot out.
  • No slap shots and no checking!
  • Teams with illegal players will be disqualified (i.e. travel players on house teams, AAA players on A or AA teams based on 04 - 05 fall roster or 05 spring roster).
  • All participants must be registered and in good standing with MAHA and USA Hockey or the Canadian Hockey Association.

As a condition of acceptance to this tournament all "out-of-town teams must stay at an authorized Shoot Out Hockey hotel at the published rates.
